Russian Female Streamer karupups Banned For 30 Days For Blackface Cosplay

Female Streamer karupups received a 30 day for the racism due to her cosplay of Lifeline from Apex Legends. Lifeline is a black character of which when karupups a white Russian streamer did a cosplay of her, this was seen as racism and black-facing.

(Definition) Blackface is a form of theatrical make-up used predominantly by non-black performers to represent a caricature of a black person.

karupups has since released a video on her channel stating she wanted the cosplay to be as similar to the character as possible, so to do that colouring her skin was necessary.
